The
Mana Jewellery Studio was founded by five jewellery designers
in the spring of 2003. The Studio is an intellectual community
and actual workshop at the same time.The
members of the Studio are all graduates of the Hungarian
University of Crafts and Design. Besides making their own
works of art they all teach their craft.
The
Studio is located near Budapest in the town of Szentendre.
It is home to a gallery, an educational facility catering
to secondary school students, an international workshop,
and hosts lectures regulary. The most recent workshop took
place in october of 2004 attented by Giedymin Jablonsky
(PL), Zoltan Popovics(H), Philip Sajet (NL) Manuel Vilhena
(P). The group's main focus is to develop international
connections in order to become a central hub of the contemporary
jewellery artists in Europa.
